The purpose of this Department is to coordinate and head activities based on Department in order to build the technical capacity of the Municipality which is responsible for provision of technical and backstopping expertise in Planning and Coordination to the Municipal Council.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Coordination of preparation of yearly development budgets through participatory planning where the communicated department participated on preparing the development projects accordingly to their needs and priorities.
The Departments is responsible for compiling the development plans from different Municipal wards, and departments and prepare Municipal development Plan.
The Department is responsible for informing the low level (wards & mitaa) which projects are approved for the financial year for each ward and the amount of fund approved.
The Department prepare the Action Plan and cash flow for the approved budget and send it to Regional Secretary for endorsement of quarterly funds for projects implementation by the Ministry of finance.
The Department is responsible for the coordination of the preparation of financial and physical quarterly implementation reports which will determine the provision of fund for other quarter.
The Department is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the development projects implementation.
The monitoring and statistic Department is also responsible for keeping different data which will enable the Department and other departments to prepare different development reports. The Department also prepare Municipal Profile and updates it yearly in order to have updated information and data
